People just can't seem to wrap their head around the fact that some young people actually crochet/knit. A friend in the office likes to crochet and one day while working on her project, another coworker said, "Hey, now you can knit yourself a TV!" Since that comment, I've stopped crocheting at work because I don't think I could listen to another comment like that without hitting someone. :P I used to crochet during my lunch breaks, but the stupid jokes started getting on my nerves enough for me to stop. They are becoming more tolerant tho, I must say. Sometimes, as ArtMind says, you just need every single spare second you can grab. Up to Christmas, I've been crafting every second at lunchtime, breaks, before work - I've even been tempted to take my sewing to meetings! I took my clay to work too because I just needed all the spare time I had - they looked a bit strange but it definitely was a good way to show there's life outside work too! :) If you want to see the baboeschka, it's part of a larger work, but it's in the picture: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=6864648 (the feeling is 'patience'...) The people at my work are just amazed by the projects I've been working on for Christmas. It does get old though, when, for the 5th time that week the same person asks "Still working on those gifts huh?" Yeah. I'm still working on the gifts. Got a lot to do. And after Christmas?
